Cadillac Lounge

Type: Bar & restaurant
Style: 50’s Rockabilly, leopard skin accents throughout
Bar Skins Design: Taking the shape of an LP, the Bar Skin captures at its essence the 1950’s era. Leopard skin accents let the tables flow seamlessly into the surrounding décor and the image of the owner’s car rounds out the fully custom design. Upcoming events, a food & drink special and a list of what’s on tap, 20 beers strong, are a timesaver for the serving staff.

Wide Open

Type: Bar
Style: Distinctively urban and unapologetic
Bar Skins Design: The exposed brick and graffiti sit perfectly in this alleyway turned bar and refuge for Toronto’s drinking all-stars. Duct tape holds down the list of daily drink promos and isn’t the only piece holding things together by a long shot. And how could we forget the abandoned bra… yeah, the wild girls come out at Wide Open.

Novecento

Type: Caffé
Style: European
Bar Skins Design: Walk into Novecento and feel as if you've just stepped off the cobblestone streets of Venice; Mike, the visionary behind this beautiful caffé has spared no expense to fashion it into the most authentic Italian experience outside of Italy. With a distinct style, this Bar Skin had to reflect the class of Novecento, and entice the customers without being overbearing on this 25 table "piazza". With clean, flowing lines and soft brown and cream tones in the Novecento style, this Bar Skin is almost as cool as a gelato on a hot summer afternoon.

MiAmi Sandwiches

Type: Caffé & sandwich shop
Style: Gorgeous authentic Italian
Bar Skins Design: Nestled just west of St. Clair and Dufferin, the dark wood European styling in MiAmi is captured in this Bar Skin. The wood combined with the frothy cappuccino creates a friendly and inviting atmosphere, just how owners Peter and Gino like it. A special for the best veal in town is written on a guest check that still fools even the locals into thinking its real. And being in the heart of Corso Italia, a corner note lets everyone know that MiAmi is Eurocup 2008 headquarters.

Boardwalk Pub

Type: Pub & beach front patio
Style: Relaxed and inviting
Bar Skins Design: Arguably, the best patio in Toronto; you sit perched on the elevated deck, enjoying a view of the lake and the hot bodies jumping and bouncing on the beach volleyball courts while basking in the sunlight streaming through the treed canopy above. If I put a drink in your hand and a plate of delicious food on your table, I challenge you find a better place to spend an afternoon?

To keep with the patio feel, we used colourful images and a sun/sky palette along with transparencies to add a light airiness. And if you weren't having such a great time, you'd notice that the menus and coasters don't blow away anymore and the tables are protected from rain damage, not to mention the faster service. But nevermind that, enjoy the sun.

Lula Lounge

Type: Latin bar, restaurant & dance club
Style: Traditional latin
Bar Skins Design: They're not just for tables anymore, as shown by these four Bar Skins you can find on the bar fridges of the ultra-sexy, latin Lula Lounge. Because when you're not dancing at Lula, you're waiting for a cooldown drink at the bar; at least you used to wait. With these Bar Skins in plain view, the bartenders don't have to waste precious seconds rhyming off the beer list because the customer can see what they want.

Owner and artist José's art bursts out of the background, capturing the colourful Lula style and showing the customizability of Bar Skins seamlessly combined with a strong promotional impact for Dos Equis, Sleeman, Stella Artois Légere and Brahma.

MiAmi Sandwiches

Type: Caffé & sandwich shop
Style: Gorgeous authentic Italian
Bar Skins Design: For their second Bar Skin, MiAmi took advantage of the Eurocup fever that consumed Toronto's largest Italian community. We partnered with Mill St. Brewery and created a light, refreshing, soccer-themed design which included MiAmi's menu and a featured listing of Mill St's premium brews, complete with mouth watering descriptions. And the Eurocup schedule encouraged customers to plan their next visit. The outcome: a 40% increase in sales from World Cup 2006.

Cadillac Lounge

Type: Bar & restaurant
Style: 50's Rockabilly, leopard skin accents throughout.
Bar Skins Design: The second and third Bar Skins at The Cadillac Lounge arrived in concert with the opening of Queen Street's largest patio. Fully sponsored by Brahma and Amsterdam Blonde, they feature The Caddy's actual menu printing right in. This keeps them from falling between the gaps on the deck, speeds up service and pushes Brahma and Amsterdam buckets, the perfect patio party promo.
